Your art style and skill are both amazing, but when it comes to balancing a realistic image with a fictional character, you pore a bit to much into the realism aspect that the image, -while still very beautiful- doesn't give the characters the depth they had as cartoons. You made Sango look Japanese and Kirara look like a feline. But it doesn't look like the characters, and were it not for Sangos outfit I would have never recognized who they were. Kirara is a demon yet she looks too tame without her large blood red eyes and sango looks too delicate, even when she is delicate you can see her resolve is still just as strong. The scenery was pulled off with the right amount of balance, it feels magical AND Real.
The only two things I can find here to talk about is that there is no place on the tails where the fur sticks out beyond the lines like it does in other places all around Kirara, and Sango's face, while well done, makes her look a little bit more like a doll and not a warrior.
I love the flowy way the flowers and grass are painted, and the way you start showing whatever magical force it is that they're fighting with all the purple flashes around the edges. Love the clouds, too. In both cases, they're just right and not over- or under-done
